What I've been up to 🕰️
Hi. It's been a while, huh?
I have no clue when the last time I updated this newsletter was, and I'm not looking! Here's a bulleted list of what I've been up to, where you can find me now, and what's coming next!
I moved across the country! I have finally escaped Phoenix, AZ, for the beautiful world of Central New York (state, not city). I love it. I'm so much happier. My life here has been beautiful.
I changed jobs so many times! You've seen the podcast landscape, and you've seen the journalism landscape. It's nightmare time. That being said: I have landed in the comfy cozy welcoming arms of Tink Media, and I'm so honored to work with this amazing group of amazing people. I love them so much, and I love the work we do. If you're looking for help marketing your podcast from folks who care more about building relationships than anything else, hit us up! They are taking such good care of me.
I'm also helping write our newsletters over there! Subscribe for podcast recommendations and marketing tips from me and the team!
I have started a new, very goofy podcast I'm absolutely thrilled about. It's called Nevermorphed, and it's a journey of me reading all 54 of the Animorphs books for the first time, joined by long-time Animorphs lovers. Both episodes discussing the first book are out! Give it a listen, tell your Animorphs friends, and if you are an Animorphs person, apply to be a guest if you want! Currently booking guests for everything past Book 6.
I have TWO upcoming audio dramas in the works! My focus so far has mainly been on one called Vessel. I won't tell you much about it except a selection of inspirations: Myst, t.A.T.u., Serial Experiments Lain, Skinamarink, and Limited Too. If you want updates on this project, you might wanna go check out our podcast Scoring Magic. Give it a subscribe. More to come soon.
And I have another fancast coming soon as well! You can subscribe now to How to Act Fereldan, a podcast about the Dragon Age series!
Also I'm going to the TED Conference in Vancouver in April? See you there????????
SO. I would love to keep talking to y'all. I actually love having a newsletter, I just haven't had the time and wherewithal in so unimaginably long. But the love is coming back. Let me know what you'd like to see from me, if anything. Is it illegal for me to talk about things that aren't podcasts here? Would it be so boring if I only talked about podcasts still?
If I do keep this up, and I do want to, it'll probably be ported somewhere other than Mailchimp.
For now though, it's been nice to say hi again. 💖
